At Syndicate Endurance Team (S.E.T.) we are swimmers, cyclists, runners, ruckers, lifters, triathletes, duathletes, AquaBikers, SwimRunners and more.
We have a team for everyone and we are forming training groups across Maryland & Beyond. S.E.T. team members are everyone from Beginners to Ironman Pro Series and Xterra World Tour athletes. We are a U.S.A. Triathlon (U.S.A.T.) designated High Performance Team (H.P.T.) preparing athletes to race the Elite U.S.A. Triathlon High Performance Draft Legal Series.
The Teams
S.E.T.
Social Team: This is our business in the front, party in the back crew. If you want to support S.E.T., hang out with cool people, and keep the commitment light, this is the team for you.
Development (Dev) Team: The Dev team is the home of both our Beginner Triathlon Program and our Return to Sport program for experienced endurance sport athletes.
Competition (Comp) Team: This is our entry level race team for those striving to make podiums at their respective discipline and distance.
Race Team: This is a high performance race team competing against the top athletes on the National and World stage.

The Adult Team Story
S.E.T. was born from the joy of youth sports and the memories created training, traveling, and racing together. In 2022 we were approached about launching an adult race team with matching race kits to bring team spirit and camaraderie to local adult racing. We weren't ready yet, but the community was.
In 2024 we soft launched our adult team to a few friends and quickly grew to 25 team members of all levels, abilities, and backgrounds. The story we hear over and over again is, "we're tired of cliques and club politics". S.E.T. is the answer to that. We are a team and a community that supports all of our athletes.
Our adult team is coaching agnostic, so you won't experience any exclusivity. Although we partner with coaches to offer training plans and group workouts, we are not owned or run by an adult coaching business.. We are family owned and operated by athletes who work tirelessly to ensure the best for every single S.E.T. team member.
S.E.T. is going full send in 2025 with an ambitious goal to hit 100 adult members in our first full season. We have open enrollment for all of our adult teams, and we are expanding from multisport teams to include single discipline swim, bike, and run teams. We are looking for team leaders of all athletic abilities for each of our teams. Do you have a masters swim team, mountain bike group, or neighborhood run club? Join S.E.T. and we'll sponsor your group and provide 365 support.
Contact us about how you can be a part of our growth.

What is S.E.T.?S.E.T. is a collective of youth and adult endurance sport athletes, families, coaches, and supporters who love to swim, bike, run, ruck, or lift, and adventure. We are passionate about supporting the endurance sport community and living an active lifestyle. We believe that improving skills and having fun are critical to maintaining an active, endurance sport lifestyle. Our mission to create a culture where athletes can do both.
-
Do I have to be a Triathlete to Join S.E.T.?NO! We are forming individual discipline teams for every endurance sport and more. We have swimming, cycling, and running specific training as well as Duathlon, AquaBike, and more. If you like training with others, you have a home with us!

What is the Youth Team Vision? We want to see a Youth Triathlon Team in every neighborhood. Our vision is to be a part of that growth and expand S.E.T. Youth Team (Y.T.) practice group offerings throughout Maryland and beyond. That means delivering more options and services for families and athletes. In addition to our existing Development, Competition, and Travel Teams, we have future plans to form Paratriathlon, Draft Legal, Duathlon, and AquaBike options.

What is the Adult Team Vision? Our vision is to expand our mission delivery of providing the absolute best endurance and multisport skill development, training opportunities, and race day experiences throughout Maryland and the Region. In the near term, this means growing a community of adults who train, race, and travel together and most of all have FUN doing endurance sports. In the long term, this means offering these communities as hyper local workout groups in every neighborhood. We pair the best aspects of the camaraderie, passion, inclusivity, and visibility of large national and regional brand ambassador teams, the expertise and talent of large coached teams, and the training and raceday support of local clubs. That is an ambitious goal we intend to deliver through valued personal relationships with our community.

I already have a coach or club. Can I still Join?Yes! Coaching We provide access to our coaching partners, but we are coaching agnostic. We want you to have the best coach for YOU. You can still take full advantage of our team environment, group training offerings, full race day support, and other services. We are not absolutist, and we will never contradict your coaches direction. We will support you, answer your questions, and refer you to resources. Other Clubs If you are already a member of a traditional triathlon , running, cycling, or masters swim club, great! We believe clubs and group trainings critical social components to the overall endurance and multisport experience, and provide great benefit. In fact, we believe you should be weary of clubs, teams, or coaches who don't encourage broader participation in a wide range of groups and activities that are appropriate to your training goals.

How did you come up with the name Syndicate Endurance Team? This team was formed to fill serious voids in the triathlon, multisport, and endurance sports community. We strongly believe it is going to take a massive effort to grow multisport to it's full potential. We cannot do that alone and we knew we would need a collective of the brightest minds, biggest hearts, and most generous partners to support these teams of endurance athletes. They are the Syndicate!

Do I have to purchase the S.E.T. Adult Kit and wear it in all of my races? No. Social Team members are not required to purchase the Kit. Competition and Race Team members are required to purchase the kit. Of course we would love it everyone purchased the kit and wore it in every race, but we recognize folks have favorite kit brands, or prefer to wear their coaches' team kit, or local tri club kit in certain races. We support our athletes wearing the kit that works best for each of their races. However, we do think that wearing the S.E.T. team kit is important to building rapport and helping grow the community. Thus, we have minimum kit race requirements for the Comp and Race Teams.
