Youth Development Team
Coach: Lisa Steptoe
The goal of this team is to develop youth athletes’ passion for triathlon and basic skills through fun filled activities. This team is best for athletes who are not ready to commit to racing but are interested in developing their fitness and triathlon skills in a fun filled environment. Requirements: Demonstrated ability to swim age-appropriate distances, handle a bike safely in groups, and complete age appropriate run distances. Parent volunteer at one or more team events. Preferred minimum: Recurring swim lessons or summer swim team. Race Schedule: Not Applicable. Development team members can upgrade their membership to the Competition team as soon as they have demonstrated the necessary skills and are interested in leveling up to racing.

Practice locations: Columbia Gateway Dr. near I95 and 175, Rockburn Branch Park near I95 and 100, Hammerman Beach Balto County (occasional).
Note: Tuesday practices will occasionally slide to Wednesday weather and event dependent. JUST ADDED: We will offer a Wednesday practice option for athletes who cannot attend on Tuesdays.
