S.E.T. HALL OF FAME
S.E.T. would not exist without those who have paved the way in triathlon and worked to grow the multisport community and culture. We all stand on the shoulders of the generous contributions of those that came before us and gave their time, knowledge, and treasures to share the sport we love with us and others.
The S.E.T. Hall of Fame honors those individuals and preserves their legacies so that the generations to come might better understand the history of our sport and the culture of giving back selflessly.
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."

One of the all-time great triathlon couples, Danny Mooney and Deb Taylor served as the cornerstone of their local triathlon club for many years. Danny and Deb greeted strangers with a warm smile, friendly handshake, and caring hug. They were tremendous ambassadors and tireless recruiters bringing many eventual club and board members into the sport.
Balancing each other’s yin and yang, Deb was, is, and always will be Danny’s tireless supporter. Deb spent countless hours “recruiting” triathletes everywhere she went. Deb was always there to welcome new members into the fold, and cheer tenured members on in their every endeavor. Her PT skills continue to help get triathletes back on the course today.
Deb also led her club’s Mentor program for many years, putting the right combinations together to launch newbies into the sport, and take other triathletes to the next level.
Deb was right by Danny’s side during his time on board, making sure the business of the day kept moving forward.
While Danny and Deb’s work ethic, kindness, and compassion led the way, their accomplishments leading the club are even more impressive in the context of their amazing athletic accomplishments.
